Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a spiritual leader, humanitarian and the founder of the Art of Living Foundation, a non-profit organization that operates in over 150 countries. Born in 1956 in Papanasam, Tamil Nadu, India, he was interested in spirituality and meditation from a young age. He went on to study with several prominent spiritual teachers and eventually developed the Sudarshan Kriya, a breathing technique that is now taught in Art of Living courses worldwide. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has also been actively involved in peace negotiations around the world, including in conflict-torn areas such as Iraq, Kosovo, and Colombia. He has received numerous awards for his contributions to society, including the Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award in India. Today, he continues to inspire millions of people to lead more peaceful and fulfilling lives through his teachings and humanitarian efforts.
